Internet marketing is a complicated business. There is so much to learn. Building websites, learning search engine optimization, emails, autoresponders and that is just some of it. Then you have to find your niche, research your market, dream up your product and on and on it goes. Then just as you think you have figured out your blueprint along comes another indispensable tool or system. So you make a few adjustments and read another 150 pages of instructions and watch another 20 hours of high powered video. Phew! You take a deep breath and rewrite your blueprint. You turn on the computer and check your emails. There are 65 emails all heralding the latest and greatest in internet marketing. Spy on your opposition, buy these private label rights and do not forget to listen in to the latest over hyped teleconference with two or three self proclaimed gurus thinly disguising mutual backslapping for selling some over priced “how to” book which is probably just another rehash of what you learned two or three months ago.

Have you ever wondered if this is a cleverly orchestrated plan by the successful operators to confuse the would be marketers out there. Maybe not but it does sow the seeds of utter confusion into the minds of the unfocused.

The fact is your email inbox is a major distraction to actually getting on and achieving success in internet marketing.The answer here is to limit severely the amount of email you read. Go through the list of emails you receive and unsubscribe from most of them. Be thoroughly ruthless and just retain one or two of your very best newsletters. It is probably going to be painful because you enjoy receiving them and will spend hours reading them and the things they promote. But that is the point, they have actually distracted you and robbed hours of your time.

Now it is time to focus and select that aspect of Internet Marketing that you enjoy. Go for one thing and get it going properly and then expand into the next thing in a natural progression that will best compliment your first interest. Follow your prepared blueprint and focus on that. Do not be totally deaf to what is going on in the internet marketing world but limit the destructively distracting nature of so much of it.

So concentrate and focus on Online Marketing & achieving your goals and making some money. Join a good mentoring program if you really need to but stop hopping from one thing to the other. Be single minded and maintain that focus. When you have achieved your initial goals and have things running on some sort of auto pilot then you can look around for ways to improve Internet Marketing and fine tune your business.

If you haven’t taken a serious look at the tool chest page and the tools that are in there, then you really are missing the boat. Article marketing is one of the most effective ways to spread your message on the net. Interesting content is the lifeblood of the blog world.

You have two choices to make. One is to write your own content and submit it to directories and take a lot of time doing both. Or you can use tools like those posted in the tool chest and save yourself a ton of time and effort. No matter what the job your are doing is associated with, you can always do a better job with the right tools.

We have come upon a new service that we are adding to the tool chest. Almost everyone now knows how important Article Marketing is to a successful online business. There’s a new article service that I have found that I believe to be extremely cool.

I’m thinking about getting a new theme for this blog. Getting a little bored with this one. I’ll look around and see if there is anything I like.

There has been a lot of talk and chatter about article marketing. A lot of people are paying for PLR articles. That’s just crazy. With the IAW Pro we have linked to a million times, bloggers and marketers could be writing their own articles in a matter of minutes. I wrote one on Diabetes in 5 minutes and submitted it to a couple of article directories and people are viewing the article like mad.

The cost of Instant Article Wizard Pro is insignificant in relation to the value and the use you get out of it. Just the time you save makes it pay for it’s self. I wish some of you would take a serious look at it if you ise articles. And if you don’t you should in your marketing efforts.

I’ve had a lot of questions about MLM and sponsoring and did I have any info that could possibly help people in this area. While I don’t have any interest in this particular program, I found a video that might be of interest to those that are looking for such information.

I said we’d be doing some MLM, but I have not found an opportunity that I want to get involved with and honestly I just don’t have time right now.

I hope this has helped a bit. I believe that Multi Level Marketing is a very viable way of marketing. But you must align yourself with a good company, but more important you need to surround yourself with good people.

The title might not be what you are expecting. Kamma Sutra is not going to be discussed here, although it might bring more readers. What I’m talking about is touching someone in a way that makes them feel. And feel deeply. If not deeply, then as deeply as possible.

It’s easy to make someone feel deeply in a negative manner….just be rude, call them a bad name….cuss at them, insult them…their family or heritage. Touching someone in that manner takes absolutely no effort. And is not even worth talking about actually.

I’m talking about in a positive way..in a way that makes a person move. Either physically or emotionally. Should it move them physically, then it should be a nudge toward a positive goal or direction. You do that by setting yourself aside and zero in on the other person. And not in a superficial way. But reach out and offer a hand up, a kind word…..and act totally unexpected.

You do that, and if in person, your fellow  man/woman will be able to see it in your eyes. Try as you might, you just can not hide your soul…your eyes are the soul’s doorway. But what does that have to do with Internet Marketing. And how can someone see your eyes on the Internet?

Quick answer is thru the use of a webcam. But that’s not what this is about either. This post is about touching someone blindly over the net and how you do that. You accomplish that by appropriate salutations in your first contact. And then over time, make sure you live up to everything that you say you are going to do. Be generous in your actions and your words. Humble in your attitude and gracious in your dealings.

It takes a fair amount of time to earn someone’s respect and trust and just a minute to destroy it. I know I’ve been on both ends. I’ve been let down and have on the other hand, I have made promises that I could not live up to as I expected. I let down a group of investors after I came down with Congestive Heart Failure and remamined sick for two years.

As a result, I lost contact with almost everyone I had established a relationship with in the investment world. I have never been able to recover those relationships as people never sit still. They all moved on and so it’s a matter of moving on myself.  While my health condition  was at the root of my troubles, I could have done something to retain  those relationships……but I didn’t. I was so caught up in my own world, that when I was  in a position to reach out to people, I didn’t.

So if you are marketing anything on the Internet, regardless what may come along, find time to reach out to those that you have a relationship with and you will be surprised how much people will step up and be there for you.

In the past few years, Social Media and Social Media Marketing have become buzz- words. This is due to the popularity of sites like MySpace, Digg, etc. The social media have two components - user generated contents and the ability to form networks of friends for sharing contents.

In sites like MySpace and Facebook users create their profile pages and use texts, pictures, and videos to embellish the pages. They can then share those contents with others in their friends’ network, or the social network

In sites like Digg, YouTube, Flickr users submit a summary of news articles, pictures, videos and they vote on the contents submitted by others. Popular contents are featured on the homepage and it drives massive amount of traffic to support your Internet Marketing.

There are many variations of the two models described above, including a combination of the two.

Using the social media sites to promote your product or services (or a website) is called social media marketing. There are two types of traffic you get when your content becomes popular in a social media site.

The primary traffic or the direct traffic comes from the site where it becomes popular. For sites like Digg, it can be huge and your site should be ready to handle the surge in traffic without crashing.

When your site becomes popular in a social media site, people talk about your site and the post that becomes popular. They will put a url to the content. The secondary traffic or the indirect traffic flows from those url long after the surge due to the primary traffic is over.

So, what are the benefits of primary and secondary traffic from the social media sites? The primary traffic exposes your site to people who have no other means of knowing about your existence. Some of those visitors will become regulars to your site if you are providing something that they want on a regular basis.

The greatest benefit is the natural url to your site given by others because they want to discuss your offering. Natural urlfrom a large number of relevant sites improve your search engine rankings and organic search traffic.

Social media & Internet Marketing lets you expose your site to a large group of people. If your search engine traffic has leveled off, shifting your focus to the social media marketing and becoming successful in that will take you to the next level in search engine traffic.

The only other alternative for increasing your search engine traffic is Internet Marketing & pay per click advertisement. If you are already running a PPC campaign, you can continue your PPC campaign through out the year to sustain increased traffic from search engines at a cost.

Social media marketing is free and making your site popular a couple of times in a year is enough to sustain increased traffic through out the year.

We keep fine tuning the blog marketing package and things keep getting better. We’ve been concentrating on getting Google love for our handicapping site and have almost forgotten about Yahoo and the other search engines.

For our keyword phrase on the Horse Handicapping site, we are ranked number 1 on Yahoo out of 186,000 competing pages. When I saw that tonight I was blown away. Getting ranked number one on any search engine is a big deal. We are putting up a site marketing the Instant Article Wizard Pro and expect to get it up on the first page of Google and on Yahoo.

We are close to letting loose our blog package as we seem to be getting some great results. Just not sure yet exactly how we are going to do it at present.
