Whether you are looking to make your existing blogging site more distinctive, or are looking for more effective ways to monetize your website, the key to building and maintaining a site that will capture the interest and attention of the blogging community is by finding your niche.

Find and fill a unique need in a way that no other web site does. You’ll then be able to build a lasting readership among web surfers. Once you have discovered a niche, you will still have a lot to do, but finding your place in the constantly evolving blog world is the place to begin. It can be tough to distinguish your blogging web site from all of the others.

Every great blogging web site starts with a great idea, and you can’t build a profitable site that will last without one. There are many great sites aimed at today’s bloggers, and competition for the attention of this growing demographic is fierce.

To make your blogging web site one of a kind, you will need to offer something that no other site is currently offering….. or you will need to do the same thing that an already popular site does, but in a more relevant way.

One way to discover an ideal model for your blogging web site is to look at the sites that have successfully captured a blogging audience already.

Then determine how you can customize some of these existing strategies.

You will also need to add a unique selling position to your project in order to stand apart from your competition.

In the long run, a great idea just isn’t enough to propel your blogging web site to success. You will need to draft a smart and realistic marketing plan in order to draw readers to your site. Once you hook a blogger, your great content will keep them coming back, but it is vital to get that first glance or your site won’t have a chance.

And, once again, the key to any online success is TRAFFIC.

Without traffic, you might as well just be writing to your Mother (which at this time of year is also a good idea)

Always be aware that traffic doesn’t just happen; but is the result of some pretty serious marketing efforts on your part.

Oh sure, the search engines will find you….eventually; and you will get some traffic from paid advertising….usually very expensive traffic.

Article Marketing is big now a days. To try and build a website and get any significant backlinks you need to do article marketing. I have mentioned this site before. There are a lot of people that are asking  this exact question. Someone must be makng some money just by the fact that there are so many people on the net. And to have a website you have to more or less pay someone to host it for you.

But beside that, there is a gazillion other things happening on the net. Some free and some not. The question really comes down to how serious are you about having a real business online or are you just having some fun and looking to make enough money to go to the movies for ree. Or maybe a free dinner for 2 or 4 people.

Nothing ever seems to stay the same. Everything and everyone is alway in flux. For the most part, all of the pay$5 and make $11,000 in the next 14 days is all crap. If you are going to make any serious money, you need a serious opportunity. So when you see all the email in your inbox offering you a free sign up and tomorrow morning you will wake up with a paypal account stuffed with money, hit the delete button as fast as you can.

There are some very strong programs out there. But be aware you are going to have to invest a few hundred dollars at least to get anything real going. To think you are going to take 10 dollars and turn it into $1 million is complete folly. But you can find some programs that will make you some money, but you will need to invest some money and some time to have a serious business.

What kind of business do you think you could get going out in the real world for $10 bucks sitting on a corner asking people to sign up and go do the same thing. That amounts to the same thing as some of these text ad exchanges and auto surf sites. They can be fun and you can make a few bucks. But your bank account is going to explode the very next morning. So when you look at opportunities, try and be a little more realistic in your expectations.

I’ve been looking for sometime as you know for an opportunity to bring here that would be in the MLM or networking arena. I have one I am serious looking at right now. I hope to have more information this next week. I believe it will prove out to be a serious business, bt we shall have to wait and see what comes about.

We have come upon a new service that we are adding to the tool chest. Almost everyone now knows how important Article Marketing is to a successful online business. There’s a new article service that I have found that I believe to be extremely cool.

As I’ve said before, we started Horse Handicapping net as a pilot project to test out our blog building package. Funny thing is that our horse selection system is turning out to be far better than we originally anticipated.

But that is not what this is about. Our SEO package that we have set up with the horse site has landed us on the front page of Google again. We have another page ranked at #30 also along with a few a bit deeper. It is a great feeling when I look up our keyword phrase and see us ranked that high.

Before we entered into the 30 Day Challenge, we couldn’t get ranked no matter what we tried. Now we consistently rank high on Google with multiple phrases. We have a couple of websites that we will be putting up in the very near future that we expect will do real well.

One thing hat works great for us is the article marketing we do. We submit mostly to ezineArticle.com and get some great traffic from them. I can’t speak highly enough of the Instant Article Wizard Pro software. Keeping a steady flow of articles, especially if you have several websites is extremely time consuming and just flat hard. And the articles are quality….They get picked up and reprinted very often, which in turn spreads the word about your sites and gets you more traffic. It really is worth it’s weight in gold. This article has some good information in it. We don’t always or most often don’t back the 3rd party links that show up in these articles. We use them because of the basic information that is included. Our Blog Package that we are working on and testing has caused our Horse-Handicapping blog to be ranked #15 and #16 for the keyword phrase horse handicapping. That’s out of anywhere from 15,000 to 19,000 competing pages depending on where Google ranking machinery is in it’s cycle.

Also and this is really exciting…..Top Handicapper ‘Ultimate Selector’ has his own site and when doing a Google search for ultimate selector site, Google returns over 1 million competing pages. The top ranked site…Number 1….Numero Uno is our handicapping site which is only 3 weeks old. The second ranked site is Ultimate Selector’s home page. We out ranked him. I believe our package is going to be dynamite when we release it. We will limit the release since we have a small staff to help us.

The use of blogs and website design is becoming more and more distributed. It gives faster answer times for a company, and aids render a better servicing to customers. This will be a short note. Just wanted to let everyone know that the horse-handicapping site that we put up just about a week ago has received some great Google love and ranking. Not sure where it is right now, but two nights ago we were on the front page ranked #5. Last night we had dropped to #8. Not bad considering we only have about 5 posts up.

The blog package that I’ve been working on should be ready soon. It is working great so far as we test it with the horse handicapping site. We are working on new handicapping software that will allow us to post free picks on the new horse site. Once that happens we will be getting much more traffic and activity.

Right now we are just seeing how high we can rank in Google using our blog package materials. And not really posting anuthing of real interest or importance. But still getting some great ranking.

This is all good information and something you really need to read and understand. I’ve spoken about niche marketing before. But I thought a more in depth view would be good to go over and present here again.

Everywhere you go online, you hear the same thing - You must find a niche for your business. If you are new to Internet Marketing, this is advice you will do well to pay heed to.

Every day thousands more people come online in search of wealth. Many jump right into the markets that are already completely saturated and then wonder why they are not making any money.

Even if you are lucky and are extremely experienced already in one of the above niches, you will still have a lot of competition in such broad niches. This may be what you decide to do in the end, but at least be willing to explore niches within the broader areas. You may find a niche you are much better suited to.
