Horse Handicapping blog was finally put up last night. And within 2 hours, Google had picked up the blog and ranked it #81 out of 14,800 sites on horse handicapping. That is pretty amazing. I didn’t end up using wordPress Direct. I built the blog on my own and optimized it on my own. I think I have a pretty decent handle on what it takes now to get ranked in the search engines.

I still have a lot of work to do on the site, but being brand new, It has done very well as I think you might agree. There are a couple of horse sites that I will be linking to also and I’m very excited about the possibilities that exist to make the Horse-Handicapping site one of the best on the net.

Already have traffic hitting the site which has surprised me a bit. But I have quite a few people following my actions on Twitter. So a lot of the traffic came from there, since as soon as I post on this site or the new Horse blog, the post is automatically delivered to my twitter account, which allows my followers to be notified that there is new news or posts on the sites I have.

By the way, the Immediate Edge program has been closed and no one else is allowed to join. So the boys stood fast on their promise to let only so many people in the program, so as not to dilute the results for members as we develop our sites.

Horse Handicapping site is now up and running. It is not completely done, but it is up and we are working on developing it through the Imeddiate Edge program. I couldn’t find a real Horsey wordPress theme to use. So I used a theme that I really like. But may have to change it later if it just doesn’t seem to do well.

I hope you will go look at it. Right now just one post as tonight is the first night it has been up. If you have any comments on it, I’d be glad to hear them. Good or bad…doesn’t matter. Always looking for input.

I’m still here in Las Vegas and should be returning home on Wednesday. When I get home I will be able to start putting the new blog together. I did receive a response from WordPress Direst. As usual, they need more information from me and so I will see if I can find what they want so they can answer my support question.

One way or the other I am going to start the blog Wed night. If not with WordPress Direct or build it on my own. I built this site as you may recall. And the traffic here is growing by the month. Now it is true that there hasn’t been any real money made here even though we have monetized the site a bit. But that is ok.

The monetization of this site was more about practice than substance result in that area. But I must say again, the software featured on the tools page is a program that anyone that writes articles should and actually must have….It writes the articles for you no matter what the subject matter is or how long you may want to write it.

I’m having a great time here in Vegas and am glad I came. But it has slowed me down in getting my new blog up and running. But it has also given me more time to work with the horse racing software that will be providing the horse selection content for the new blog. It seems to be working well and should be a lot of fun to use and allow me to put up some great picks for tracks all over the country.

I will be traveling tomorrow to Las Vegas for a week. I will be staying with friends, but will have my computer with me. I am working on setting up my new blog on horse racing handicapping. I am waiting to hear from Wordpress Direct Support due to a technical problem with their software. If I don’t get an answer right away, I will go ahead and build the blog on my own and optimize the blog for search engines myself. The only thing is that I have picked out a very cool theme page for my blog that is only available through WordPress Direct.

I’m excited about the new blog. There is over 200 searches per day for my keyword phrase. Also the competing sites total about 14,000. That is well within the parameters  laid out by the 30 Day Challenge. I can’t wait to see where we will get indexed on Google.

I joined Ed Dale’s ‘Immediate Edge’ tonight. There is a 14 day trial period. I will report on how that goes and what is going on there. Ed is the guy behind the 30 Day program and my first look at the member site, there seems to be a lot of cool stuff. Especially some software that is exciting. As usual we shall see how things go.

The title is an attempt to lighten things up. Probably in poor taste, but that has never stopped me before. Got up Saturday morning and went to log on the Internet and start getting caught up with the 30 day challenge. When I did, I discovered that my brand new modem had died. Yep…It bit the dust. I contacted my IPS support and they concfirmed my modem was bad, and said I could trade it in on Monday for another new one..

Which I did, but that left me off the net for another almost 3 days. Cuz the new modem they gave me today was not put into the system. So I could not get it to work until I got a hold of support again tonight. After an hour on the phone, they finally got me up and running.

I’m really exhausted, so hopefully when I attempt to log on tomorrow, there will be no problems and I can get back on track with the 30 day challenge. One more note about the recent death in our family. The 5th person to die in 5 years. Been 1 death every year the last 5 years. Just crazy.

I’m still out of town. I should be back moving forward by tomorrow night. As I said we had a family emergency. Without going to far into detail, We had a suicide in the family. And then the fallout over that has caused some situations.

Anyway, I’ll be back on the 30 day challenge path tomorrow. Hope it won’t take me too long to catch up. Not long ago I spoke about the challenge step that required writing an article and submitting to EzineArticles to develop a back link to our main challenge niche. I wrote one and submitted it. It was picked up by Google and ranked #12 for Concert Promotions. That put us #2 on the 2nd page with just one article link. Very cool.

The ride will get back on the road tomorrow night.

Concert Promotions is my 30 day challenge niche that I settled on after what seemed like hours trying to find a niche that met the criteria set out by Ed Dale in the beginning. As you know I got sick and got way behind. Well, I put it in gear and have completely caught up. We are at day 14.

Tomorrow day 15 starts and I’ll be interested in seeing what that’s about. I am really glad I have joined this challenge. I really have learned a lot. Mostly so far how to blend everything together to make your efforts go farther and be worth more in the end.

Tonight I created a Squidoo lens about Concert promotions and a Hubpage also. And on top of that, I added a Tumblr account and made my first post on it. I’m really benefiting from all the instruction on how to optimize everything so that all your work ties in together.

Concert Promotions is the link to my new 30 day challenge blog. I just got it to working this morning. I had done some work on the same niche, but with another theme. The theme turned out to be no good so I spent almost a day trying to figure out why my post wouldn’t show up. Then someone suggested trying a different theme, and bingo it worked. So I was able to move on from there and get caught up.

You’ll see the highlighted link to my new blog just above. Click on it and go see how it looks. It should open in a new window.  One thing cool is that it’s going to be a permanent link to that blog site. So now I know how to set up permanent links and how to better develop link building which will result in better page ranking from the search engines. Which in turns drives more traffic to your site and that’s what it’s all about basically.

Tomorrow I will give a synopsis of what has all transpired since I started the 30 day challenge. Again the idea is that by the end of the 30 days we make a sale from our new blog and see how high we can get indexed by the search engine for our main keyword.

Still a little under the weather. But if all goes well this afternoon, I’ll hopefully be able to get a new post up tonight. I think you will really like it. I plan on posting a video from the 30 day challenge that shows how cool Wordpress Direct is and how it functions. At least I’m pretty impressed with it so far.

Giant Rip Off is exactly right. I did not know this was possible. I must say that I found this incredulous to say the least. I couldn’t imagine people doing this. You’ll see in a moment if I have this setup right. Anyway, we are not just here to promote marketing, but to help people avoid crazy stuff too, like what you are about to see. I’m sure you’ll find this valuable info if I can get it to work right.

I have always wondered about all these so called marketers making millions and their claims about their accounts being full of money and have multiple accounts. Now I see why it looks that way.

In case you didn’t quite understand what was being done,  Jack Sinclair was exposing and demonstrating how to phony up the numbers in a clickbank account or paypal account by editing the page, changing the actual numbers by inflating them and the restoring page back to normal. Then the big Guru takes a screenshot of the edited page  so it looks like the marketer is making thousands and thousands with their opportunity.

As you can tell we are brand new. I say we, because my big brother has helped me tremendously with my online ventures. He has in fact financed my ventures out of his poker winnings. I know it sounds crazy, but he has.

Online marketing is harder than most people would like you to think. I hope that with our site, we can help other people avoid a lot of the mistakes that I have made to this point. We will be offering up reviews of products, tips on getting traffic to your sites and many other things. A lot of personal stuff will be here too, just because I think it’s important to make friends on the net.

I promised my brother that I would post a link to his health site when I first got started here. He is in the process of putting together a health teleseminar to be broadcast in July sometime. It will be free for everyone. He has some really neat people donating their time and knowledge. Should be cool.

So welcome and hope you come back often as we get moving along here.   Ok…here’s a link to big bro’s health site.  I think he only has info and articles there. Maybe a recipe book for sale, but that’s all.
