The title to this post may not seem too relevant, but remember we used horse-handicapping site as a project to test out our blogging development package. The site has been ranked high for quite some time. And although it moves around, we have been getting some serious traffic there in a very short time.
But the surprising thing is that the software our family has been working on for a long time is undergoing a public beta testing. The software selections are posted well in advance of the races being run. Then the results are being posted on a separate page with each days results and a running total.
Today two tracks were handicapped and 12 total races were played. The results were 6 winners out of 12 races for a 245% return on investment. It’s way too soon to make any judgements, we will have to just wait and see if the numbers hold up. But the positive is that our marketing package techniques are driving some god traffic to our that site. So both sites are doing well and we are very pleased so far.
In real estate there’s the 3 most important things…..location, location, location. And in niche marketing I believe there’s a similar situation……3 things most important …..Passion, Passion, Passion about your Niche. It is true that you can make money in niches that you care little about, but for the long term, that is not the way to go as you will read in this article.
Marketing offers many benefits that traditional employment does not including the ability to set your own hours, an unlimited stream of income, the flexibility of choosing a niche that you are passionate about, and the opportunity to help others.
By virtue of the fact that a large portion of Online Marketing revolves around the sale of information products, the opportunity to help others is by far the strongest draw that online ventures provide. Not only is the marketing professional able to make hundreds, if not thousands of dollars by pursuing their passion, in the process they are contributing to the education or training of others at the same time.
There are very few careers that afford the instant gratification this arrangement provides. Many traditional jobs provide an education or service, but the end result or the consumer that acquires the benefit is so far removed from the supply chain, that the employee never gets to see first hand the difference they are making in someone else’s life.
On the other hand, Internet Marketing professionals many times will not only see first hand the difference they are making, they are directly involved in the process while it is evolving. This is a very strong draw for those who seek and gain their gratification from helping others.
Because the claims of making an overnight fortune are so plentiful, it is often believed that it is the financial gain that drives online entrepreneurs. And while that is certainly one of the overwhelming benefits to online opportunities, more often than not you will see the people making the most money are the ones that are the most passionate about what they are doing.
This passion is what will stand the test of time. There are plenty of online marketing opportunities that fade into the background as fast as they originally appeared, but someone who puts their heart and soul into every aspect of their product or service almost always backs the ones that have the greatest longevity.
This model is one that does not get a lot of exposure, because too often the headlines we see are designed for shock value and the easiest way to capture the attention of an audience is through the income potential. But looking beyond that, if you see someone with passion, you will most likely see someone who is going to be around for quite a while or has already been around for a long time. I believe our package is going to be dynamite when we release it. We will limit the release since we have a small staff to help us.

Being productive is very important these days. It is no surprise that it s easy to fool away your time and resources. As a result I found and article I think speaks to that condition in a nice way.

To become more productive in your business, you must first take note of how you are currently spending the majority of your time.
What matters is how productive you are. It doesn’t matter how much time you spend working on your business, if you’re not doing the things that really matter, you’re just wasting your time.
You can spend hours of time visiting various sites, spying on your competitors, reading different articles or blog posts, and researching the forums to see what people have to say about specific topics related to your market, but this type of activity, in and of itself, isn’t productive.
It doesn’t matter where you spend the majority of time, write down every little thing you do with your time. Include the amount of time spent on those activities, so you can begin the process of cutting unnecessary activities from your life.
Do you get caught in the “OCD Loop?”
The OCD Loop involves a phenomenon among many Internet marketers where they exhibit a form of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in the way that they are obsessive about following a specific sequence of actions repeatedly throughout the day, in many cases.
What a lot of marketers will do before they take action on anything truly productive for their businesses is to start off by checking their email, where they take the time to read various emails, reply to emails, and even decide to write new emails because of something that reminded them to do so in another email.
Then, once they finish checking their email, maybe they decide to jump over to check out Google Analytics or another web stats program to see what type of traffic their sites have received, or maybe they login to their shopping cart to check out the details of any orders that may have been placed.
Once they’ve reviewed their latest conversion rates, opt-in percentages, and so on, they may surf over to their favorite discussion forums or blogs that they read on a regular basis to do some research on their target market, or even to other sites like CNN or ESPN to check out the latest news or sports scores.
Then, the amazing thing that happens after they’ve checked out all of the sites that they are accustomed to visiting, is they decide to check out their email, again, to see if they’ve received anything new that might interest them.
When they’re finally done checking their email a second time and visiting all of the sites they found promoted within those emails, they jump back over to their stats program, again, to see how things are going with their websites.
If you’re really honest with yourself, you need to ask yourself how often you actually allow yourself to fall into this OCD Loop, and fail to stay focused on doing the things that bring money into your business.

I have been working on the blog ranking package tonight and so I thought I’d try and see how newest tool we have is going to work. Forgive me if this video is not good, but thought the little gal in it was cute and the guys here would enjoy it if it actually works.
This new tool allows us to type in a keyword phrase and search the internet for video, blogs, articles and other things that are relevant to the keyword. Google loves video and blog sites that have relevant video and fresh entries on a regular basis. It really helps Google ranking for your sites and blogs.
We talk about all sorts of marketing subjects here and one that we have not covered is security. So I thought I’d take a minute and discuss Internet security. It really is very important even though some give very little thought about it.
The Internet should be a fun place to relax, learn new things, and meet new people. Though you can do all of those things, there are many other things going on that can harm you. It’s sad that this is the case, but it is what it is. There are some folks out there that would rather sit around and try to scam you out of your money rather than getting a real job, and you really have to watch what you are doing. You also have to consider what your kids are going online, as they are more trusting when it comes to seemingly nice strangers. You must think about Internet and security when you have access in your home.
One of the most common places to have problems with Internet Marketing and security is in email. There are some scams that have been around for a very long time, and many of them, sadly, still work. These have become even more complicated lately, and even the smartest and most web savvy of people can get sucked in. There is one that claims you have to sign into eBay to answer a dispute, and because so many use eBay, this is one that can get them. When you go to log in on the page that comes up, you have just given away your information to someone else. Internet and security also means watching where you give out personal information. If you can help it, you should never do this anywhere. If at all possible, keep your last name a mystery, and never, ever give out your phone number when you have any reason to doubt anyone. This is never a wise thing to do on any type of public site. You also have to teach your children about how easy it is for someone to track them down with just a few bits of information that they may unwittingly put on a web page or tell to someone via instant messenger. Most of the financial news regarding the economy has been pretty dismal over the past few months. Advertising
Television and radio are kept alive by the ROI (return on investment) of their sponsors, and the commercial web is no different. The advantage of advertising online is that it's far more efficient. When a sponsor puts an ad on a television show or radio program, they can only be vaguely certain of who is watching or listening. Sure the networks provide their own research in demographics and how large their audience is, but much of it is guesswork and impossible to know for sure.
Also, results from TV and radio are very difficult to track. How do you know if the person who just bought your widget was motivated to do so by seeing or hearing your commercial? Again, it's guesswork.
The internet is different. When you place an ad online, you can track exactly how many people saw it, precisely how many people responded (clicked-through) and exactly how much money you earned from it. You can work to refine and improve your ads to improve your ROI as well. It's vastly superior to TV and radio in that regard.
So when it comes time for companies to tighten their belts, it only makes sense that they will focus on the ad medium that has the best ROI.
What does this mean for you, the Internet Marketer? It means that your advertising-driven web sites that use AdSense or other programs will likely remain relatively healthy during hard times. My own AdSense income has not changed much despite the economic troubles, which is no surprise to me. It's also good news for anyone in the search engine optimization business (or related businesses such as pay-per-click), since they, too offer great ROI opportunities.
Selling Information
Another reason that Internet Marketing does well when other sectors are having problems is that people who lose their jobs in those other sectors often turn to the Internet to try and earn a living. When an industry starts having problems, people who lose their jobs in that industry often have a very hard time finding work in the same industry. If they can't find a job, what can they do? Again, many turn to the Internet — the "new economy."
Unfortunately, there are a lot of sharks out there ready to take advantage of these individuals. But for those of us who are honestly offering real opportunities and solutions, we find even more customers during such hard times.
Leveling the Risk
A third reason why Internet Marketing tends to do well even when things look gloomy everywhere else is because the Internet makes it much easier to level your risk. I have customers in 60+ countries. When one country's economy isn't doing so well, another's is flying high, and so I'm less affected. A unique advantage of doing business on the web.
So stay focused on your online business, and remember that you're in a better position to weather the storm than most.

This will be a short note. Just wanted to let everyone know that the horse-handicapping site that we put up just about a week ago has received some great Google love and ranking. Not sure where it is right now, but two nights ago we were on the front page ranked #5. Last night we had dropped to #8. Not bad considering we only have about 5 posts up.
The blog package that I’ve been working on should be ready soon. It is working great so far as we test it with the horse handicapping site. We are working on new handicapping software that will allow us to post free picks on the new horse site. Once that happens we will be getting much more traffic and activity.
Right now we are just seeing how high we can rank in Google using our blog package materials. And not really posting anuthing of real interest or importance. But still getting some great ranking.
